Are you going to start Christmas shopping early next year?

Every year i say i will but i never do! Next year is going to be the year that i start shopping in July so that there is less of a financial burden at the end of the year.

Do you think it is a good idea to shop early or do you prefer the adrenaline rush from last minute shopping ?

My parents can never buy things earlier because apparently us kids change our mind about what we want too much! If they bought our presents in July by the time Christmas came around we we’d want something different! Lady Beatle
No. I usually have one or two gifts to shop for anyways. And its at the end of the year that the things that everyone really want start to show up on the market. So unless someone you know wants something in July… no early shopping next year either.

I think it is nice to get the gifts you know you have to get purchased early. It is just so much easier financially and time-wise. If you spread the costs out throughout the year you won’t have to worry when it comes to December. ♥Daisy♥

A few years ago I did start early. So early I started in the after christmas sales. I still do it and shop all year long. The greatest thing is that if I am invited to a birthday party at last minute, no frets…I got something I can dig out! I usually buy one to two gifts a month starting in January. By Turkey Day I am finished except sometimes for one (a name drawing in hubbys family). Trust me, after that first year that I really committed myself to it, I felt like a freer woman. On top of that I saved receipts and realized I saved a ton of money doing it that way. Have a Blessed Yule!
i think you should start early because, it is cheaper, and you don’t have to rush, the day before christmas. Lizet L
I think it’s a good idea but never do it- I’ve thought about shopping as early as July but the presents would be out-dated unless they were really nice-then I’d want to give them away too soon. As for the last minute shopping I don;t find it as a rush but a chance to practice patience and understanding by not being in a bad mood in long lines and bumping carts. Heck yeah! I started early this year! I had all my shopping done before the summer was over. Phew! And it’s been so, so nice just relaxing and enjoying the season. laura_paura
