A LOT! New York City shopping costs a lot of money! Plan like 2-300 dollars each, but that’s only if you want to shop in the high-end stores, like on 5th avenue, but if you want 5th avenue, you might want more, like 4-500 dollars. If you want to just go around the city to small shops and thrift stores, maybe just 100-150 dollars.

    Enjoy! Layla J

That’s almost impossible to say. It depends entirely on where you plan to shop and what you plan to buy. Some of the most expensive stores in the world are in New York City. Or, you can go down to Delancey Street, for example, and spend a lot less. And everything in-between. You could blow a year’s salary at Tiffany in a matter of minutes, if you wanted to. bookish

you can shop smart for pretty cheap..some cool stores like Urban Outfitters, French Connection, Century 21 have good deals on their clearance racks…the chinatown (canal street) boutiques have really cool clothes but moderately expensive, well worth it if you’re into the newest trendiest clothes…

or you can go to SoHo and spend thousands of dollars Rogue Angel

Somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 and $1000, which is about £1000 to £2000.

    Good luck Native New Yorker

Hahahahaha, you’re kidding right? Uh, just start piling as much money into that account as you can because buying things in my city is expensive as crap. If you go to Tiffany’s, expect to blow a lot of money on very few items. On the flipside, if you go to Chinatown, you can buy more items because they’re (suspiciously) cheap. If you shop on 5th or Madison, get ready to spend a ton. Otherwise, there’s the slightly less expensive Canal Street which is also known as the “poor man’s Madison”. csi_speedle

go to the small urban stores. there stuff is kinda street but its mostly whats in style, and its cheaper then most stores. urban stores your going to spend about $1000 give or take. if you want nice expensive clothes you can go to 5th ave – Madison ave or Park ave. your going to need a couple of thousands. definitely not in the hundreds. i went to Saks a couple of days ago to buy my wife some gloves. i came out with cashmere gloves that i spent $150 on.
